Last night I was up late watching TV, and I saw the commercial for "Forever Lazy" lounge wear. I really wasn't paying attention until I saw the part of the commercial with the people tailgating. A group of grown adults dressed like Thing 1 and Thing 2!
The next thing I thought was, "Are we really at this point?" I mean, we (and I am specifically speaking of Americans) already exercise too little and watch too much TV. I am a prime example of this. As a matter of fact as soon as I finish this blog post, I'm going to park my behind on the sectional couch under a Snuggie and watch 2 B-movies back to back. To be clear, I'm not against the "Forever Lazy", I'll probably be getting one for Christmas. That's how I got my Snuggie. (I'm not sure if I should be insulted by these types of gifts, but I'm thankful that someone thought of me ^_^) I just think that if we start wearing "lazy wear" in public we are only one step away from being the people in Wall-E.
I am seriously considering buying pajama jeans. They look very comfortable. I am just that pathetic.
